
The Languedoc-Roussillon Regional Council , together with the University of Montpellier-1 and additional support from the Conseil Général de l'Hérault , recently decided to fund the creation of a new center for Research, Technology, and Innovation in human movement science in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. This center of european dimension will be located in the city of Montpellier. It will host in the near future european research teams (about 100 researchers), R&D services and small enterprises in the field of movement science, information technology, behavioral neuroscience, perception and action. Fundamental and applied research (aging, handicap, sport, interface & equipement design) are concerned. Around 2500 m2 will be devoted to the EuroMov center, in the framework of the contrat de projet état-région 2007-2013. EuroMov will be fully operational in 2012.
